Our law firm client has a long-standing presence in the real estate sector, with a large team acting for mid-market national clients. The department is exceptionally busy across all its transactional teams and cross sells within the firm’s broader sectors, which include Healthcare, Energy, Infrastructure and Tech.
The team are now looking for an additional Real Estate partner, in London, likely with an existing network of contacts (investors, funds or developers) and someone who wants to help drive this practice area forward with a degree of autonomy.
Existing partners within this team are highly regarded and ranked in the directories and, overall, the department has a loyal mid-market client base which continues to grow and prosper. It is important that you understand and enjoy the nature and culture of these types of clients, the requirements they have of their external counsel and the level of advice required on a day-to-day basis.
The partners will consider a range of candidates; existing partners, and those on the cusp of partnership who are being frustrated by bottlenecks. Potentially, also, senior lawyers who are returning to private practice from in house (a fund, developer or similar). In all cases cultural fit will be crucial + a realistic business plan.
