We have recently been instructed on a new partner-level planning role within our national firm client. Most likely this will suit those with a broad range of planning expertise from across TCPA, s.106, CPOs, highways and commercial development. But there is some larger scale infrastructure and energy work and the firm is on some excellent panels. Working alongside a significant real estate team with a busy development client base you can be assured a consistent flow of internally referred work. As such, at more junior levels of partnership, this team are going to place a much great emphasis on your technical skill and cultural fit than business and following. More senior lawyers should expect to bring some work and relationships with them. This is a role that could suit someone at the early stages of their partnership career, or even a senior lawyer (LD, Counsel or equivalent) who is not yet a partner but wants to make this transition on their next move. The firm has had a good year, this team in particular and makes good use of a wide national network to price work and develop clients. You could be based at any of their main offices throughout the UK.
